Step 2: Bring the Story to Life
If you have the ability to grind your own wheat and make your own bread this will bring this story to life. You can role play and ask who will help me mix, who will help me grease the pans, who will help me put the bread into the pans, Let your kids be involved as much as they can. It’s especially nice if they can bake their own small loaf.
If making bread is not something you do you might make muffins or some other thing you do like to do.— the key is doing something together!
Step 3: While the bread is rising or baking:
· Read the downloadable version which is especially written for beginning readers to feel successful .
Step 4: Retell the story-
· Copy the characters on cardstock paper
· Color, cut out , staple to a craft stick
· Practice retelling the story
Step 5: Cut out 3 loaves of bread- Create a page to go with your craft page.
